DC’s most iconic and well-known neighborhood is undoubtedly Georgetown. Georgetown comprises the historic and idyllic neighborhood between Rock Creek on the east, the Potomac River on the South, the Glover Archibald Park on the west, and Reservoir and Whitehaven Street on the north. Founded in the middle of the 1700s as the Port of Georgetown, the neighborhood existed almost 40 years before the city of DC itself.
